IGNITE Spring 2025 Schedule

What is IGNITE?

IGNITE is a professional development program tailored specifically for Jones College of Business students.

The Goals

• Increase your awareness of career preparation challenges.
• Equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for securing a professional entry-level job.
• Boost your confidence to effectively compete for positions in your chosen field.

Who is eligible?

 All majors within the Jones College of Business can receive IGNITE certification. While all MTSU students may attend IGNITE events (unless otherwise noted), only College of Business majors will be recognized for completing the program.

How does IGNITE work?

1. Attend Events. Participate in any 10 IGNITE events that interest you or would benefit your career development.
2. Track Attendance. Scan the QR code at each in-person event to record your attendance. For online events, ensure you register your attendance using the links provided or ask the event host to log your attendance.
3. Participate. Arrive on time; late entry is unprofessional and discourteous. Engage in conversation; ask questions. Stay for the entire event, whether in person or online.
4. What Counts as an IGNITE event? Anything on the IGNITE event page, including the BEST Career Fair and Supply Chain Summit. You MUST be listed as “checked-in.” (Registering for an event or for the IGNITE program does not count as attending an event. Checking in and attending an event DOES count as attending.)
5. Apply for Certification. At least two months before your graduation, email IGNITE@mtsu.edu the list of your 10 events to apply for IGNITE certification so your achievement can be recognized. Completing the program earns you a certificate and graduation cord. It’s also a terrific achievement to highlight on your resume!

**If your professor awards extra credit for IGNITE event attendance, you must complete steps 2-3 above to receive credit.**
